Hero MotoCorp has launched its much-awaited Xtreme 250R at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025. Priced at Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom), the Xtreme 250R marks Hero’s entry into the quarter-litre motorcycle segment, going head-to-head with popular offerings from Indian and Japanese brands.
The Xtreme 250R was initially showcased as the Xtunt 2.5R concept a year ago and has now made its production debut, staying true to its sporty and aggressive design.
Design
Hero MotoCorp continues its streak of crafting good-looking motorcycles, and the Xtreme 250R is no exception. Key design highlights include:
- Low-slung headlamp for a modern aesthetic.
- Sculpted fuel tank with sharp extensions that add aggression to the bike’s profile.
- Upswept tail section for a clean and athletic stance.
Engine and Performance
At the heart of the Xtreme 250R is a 250cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. The performance figures are impressive:
- Power: 30bhp
- Torque: 25Nm
- Acceleration: 0-60kmph in 3.25 seconds
This same motor will also power the upcoming Hero Karizma 250.
Suspension and Wheels
The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and features:
- 43mm USD front forks for precise handling.
- Preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear for customizable comfort.
Availability and Features
The Hero Xtreme 250R will be offered in two color options, with bookings available both online and through authorized dealers. Deliveries are expected to begin in March 2025.
